Sunday School: Friendship Class

The Friendship Class has a team of 9 teachers who rotate teaching duties, so there are varying styles of presentation. The class' favorite books for study are those by Dr. J. Ellsworth Kalas and Dr. James W. Moore. Each book usually runs for two or three months, and each lesson is independent of those before and after, so you don't get behind if you have to miss a Sunday. Discussions are lively, so you won't want to miss one. For more information contact Class President Linda Morgan at LM500@cox.net or phone 989-4806. We have a large, active class with lots of fun and fellowship. We would love to have you join us. We meet in the Reception Hall.

The following is a poem written by a member of the Friendship Class:

Friendship Class

There's a rich and rare tapestry
Being woven each Lord's day

Bright threads are dear friends,
That bless us along the way!

This lovely, special weaving
Between these lives of ours

Grows sweeter with the bonding
Of His awesome unseen power!

Each colorful soul a thread so bright
Yet by itself is weak,

So, His gentle weaving of our lives
Brings joy, strength and peace!

Our deeds of loving kindness
Create a beauty to behold

With each day's matchless weaving
The rare tapestry still grows!

So swiftly the shuttle passes,
Marking these, our earthly days

Filling our lives with blessings,
And quiet times to pray!

A strong, wide band all through the weave
Reaching from end to end,

Is none other than the Love of God,
Gently making these threads to blend.
