Roanoke Area Ministries
On the first Saturday of each month, Cave Spring UMC volunteers, including youth, prepare and serve lunch for over 100 persons at the Roanoke Area Ministries (RAM) House.
Roanoke Valley Interfaith Hospitality Network
This organization provides shelter, food, budget planning and guidance for homeless families. Many churches have turns caring for these families and our church is a partner with South Roanoke United Methodist. Volunteers provide food and supervise the night watch one night a quarter. For more information, visit the Roanoke Valley Interfaith Hospitality Network website.
C.H.I.P
C.H.I.P. promotes the health of medically under-served children within the greater Roanoke Valley by ensuring comprehensive health care, strengthening families, and coordinating community resources in a public/private partnership. Members of our church transport children in need to doctor’s appointments in the church van on Fridays of selected months.
Salvation Army Food Pick-Up
Each Saturday throughout the year, volunteers go to several area businesses to pick up leftover produce and other food items and take them to the Turning Point (Salvation Army Battered Women’s Shelter in Roanoke). To volunteer, please call the church office at 989-3673.
