Chancel Choir (College-Adult)
CSUMC has a long tradition of excellence in liturgical choral music. Under the direction of Mark Milberger, the choir meets for rehearsal Wednesday evenings from 7:30 – 9:00 pm in the Music Room. Those who enjoy singing and wish to experience the joy of working within an ensemble are welcome to become part of the Chancel Choir, which sings at the 11:00 am worship service and during special services and concerts. Joined by eminent organist, Ronn Lowe, the Chancel Choir serves as a highly meaningful component of worship.
Wesley Singers (grades 6-12)
The CSUMC Wesley Singers includes young people who are committed to great singing and worshiping God. This continually expanding choir is for those in 6th grade through high school, and includes both beginning and advanced singers. All youth are encouraged to join this outstanding group! Rehearses Sundays 3:50-4:30 PM.
This year we will be recording an album at a professional recording studio and take a tour in early spring of 2016. We will sing contemporary, classical music with a modern twist and jazz styles. We will sing at worship and special events, such as the Love Feast.
Joyful Noise Singers (Grades 1-5)
Our Children’s Choir is for all children grades Kindergarten-5th who love to sing unto the Lord. The choir will be preparing music to share with the congregation in our worship services periodically throughout the year. As they learn new songs and simple choregraphy, they will also be learning to read music. Rehearses Sundays 4:30-5:15 PM.
The Heavy Metal Ringers ( grades 6-12)
The Heavy Metal Ringers is a youth handbell ensemble for grades 6- 12. Rehearsals are on Sunday afternoon from 4:30 – 5:00 PM. Rehearsals are open to any youth that would like to give handbells a try ! Under the direction of Ronn Lowe, this ensemble plays periodically throughout the year for worship services as well as nursing homes and other events. We also enjoy great fellowship time with fun activities and pizza parties. Come and learn, and enjoy the fellowship as we worship together through music.
Summer Music Camp (grades 1-5)
Children’s Music Camp takes place for one week every summer. This camp is for anyone who has completed first through fifth grades. During this week, the children learn an entire musical, which they perform at a final recital. The camp includes music games, rehearsals, and recreation.
