Sunday School meets every Sunday morning from 9:45-10:40 a.m. year round. Children are grouped by grade level while adults can choose from several classes studying different areas of the Bible and topics of concern to Christians. Any questions regarding Sunday School classes may be directed to our Ministries Coordinator, Julia Greer, at 989-3673.
Sunday School Classes for Children
2 year olds through 5th grade have grade level rooms in the elementary and pre-school wings in the lower level.
Sunday School Classes for Youth
6th grade through 12th grade have classrooms in the youth and music wing.
Sunday School Classes for Adults
New Member Training Class, led by Rev. Ronnie Morris and Rev. John Hemming, welcomes those who want to join Cave Spring UMC. It typically meets the 2nd and 3rd Sunday’s of each month at 9:45 am. Contact the church office to determine the time and location.
Adult Bible Study Class meets upstairs in the Conference Room at 9:45 am. Their study is from the International Sunday School Lessons. The contact person is Jean Saunders at 345-8252.
Walking in the Spirit Class studies a different topic each quarter working on its mission project, making quilts for children with cancer. The class meets downstairs in Room 7 of the old educational wing. Contact Melody McKinley at melody.mckinley@dss.virginia.gov for more information.
Living the Faith Class studies a different book each quarter. The class meets in Wesley Hall. Contact Pat Sales at pas527@verizon.net for information.
Friendship Class has a team of 9 teachers who rotate teaching duties, so there are varying styles of presentation. The class’ favorite books for study are those by Dr. J. Ellsworth Kalas and Dr. James W. Moore. Each book usually runs for two or three months, and each lesson is independent of those before and after, so you don’t get behind if you have to miss a Sunday. Wrestling With Our Faith Class meets downstairs in Room 24 at 9:45 AM. This class studies a different topic each quarter. Contact Rob Agee for information.
Foundations Class is a NEW adult Sunday school class that meets @ 9:45 AM downstairs in Room 10. Led by Connie Vaughn, this class is for young adults and parents with children. We focus on short-term, scripture-based studies using an informal, discussion format. Please join us!
