CSUMC WEEKDAY SCHOOL
For over 50 years, the Weekday School at Cave Spring UMC has offered a welcoming and nurturing preschool program for the Cave Spring and Roanoke communities.
OUR MISSION
At the heart of our mission lies a commitment to fostering holistic growth in every child- spiritually, emotionally, socially, mentally, and physically. Our preschool program bridges home and ‘big school,’ where we strive to cultivate self-esteem and confidence in our students, empowering them for future success.
Our preschool program understands the importance of play in early childhood development and provides ample time and space for exploration and discovery. Our dedicated team guides children through the joys of learning through play while supporting them and their families as they navigate the preschool years. Currently, we operate Monday through Thursday from 9 AM to 12 PM, September to May, and we align our schedule with the Roanoke County Public Schools’ calendar for start and end dates, holidays, closings, and delays.
Beginning in August with the 2024-2025 school year, our weekday school is expanding to offer our preschool program with full- and half-day options, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
CLASS OFFERINGS
In addition to our enriching daily preschool curriculum, our students enjoy weekly chapel service and music and movement classes. We organize special events like holiday parties, visits from the fire department, and engaging encounters with farm animals and storytellers to foster a well-rounded preschool educational experience for every child.
All children are placed in the class of the age they will be by September 30 of the current school year.
MOTHERS DAY OUT: LAMBS CLASS
This program is a playgroup for infants and toddlers ages 16-23 months.
2 YEAR OLD CLASS: TURTLES CLASS
This more structured class focuses on learning through free play, structured activities, and circle time.
3 YEAR OLD CLASS: BUTTERFLIES CLASS
This class focuses on learning through play, structured activity centers, and circle time.
4 YEAR OLD (PRE-K) CLASS: FROGS CLASS
This advanced class helps prepare your child for kindergarten by gaining strength and confidence through structured play centers and longer circle time while practicing pre-writing and pre-math skills in fun and exciting ways.
TUITION PRICING 2024 – 2025 SCHOOL YEAR
Non-Refundable Registration Fee of $75.00 for first child $50.00 each additional child (Submitted at time of Registration)
Non-Refundable Supply Fee of $125 per child. (Submitted with first month’s tuition)
